Or does everyone that runs look like they are in pain? No one smiles when they run. If you stare hard at their contorted face, it looks like they are torturing themselves. I only run in emergencies or to chase a ball (soccer, basketball, tennis, you get it, right?!)
OMG A few days ago, I caught myself baby talking to my dog, after I caught myself in the act, I thought how something must be seriously wrong….or seriously right with me, I think it’s cuz I’m very happy with my life!
Doing this brought me back to when I was a young kid. I’d baby talk anytime I could, anytime it made sense or could use to my advantage.
Eye brow threading is almost as painful as childbirth! I shit you not! I tried it one time a few years ago. I figured that it couldn’t be that bad because as I would walk by those ‘Brow Art 23’ stores in the mall I never saw anyone reacted bad or like they were in terrible pain.
There I was on that fateful day, I was at a mall somewhere in the US and walked in to give it a go. I asked the lady if it hurt a lot and she said oh no, it wasn’t a big deal at all! I trusted her and let her do her thing.
Now I don’t know if you’ve ever seen how they do this “eye brow threading” procedure but they have some string that looks like dental floss. The use both of their hands and they also put one of the strings in their mouth. Then the fun starts. She started rubbing the strings against my head, trying to “shape my eyebrow” and almost immediately it felt like my forehead was on fire. My poor eye brow was getting a friction burn. After she hurried up and completed one, I told her “oh wait, hold on, I need a break in between the next one” just like you react when you have a contraction when you are giving birth.
I told her that this hurt a lot and that I have a really high pain tolerance. She laughed it off as I wanted to slap her.
She mentioned that she could put some lotion on the area that hurt to help, I told her to not even think about doing that as I could only imagine it burning and hurting more.
I was stuck. I couldn’t leave with one eye brow done ‘perfectly’ so after taking my break for a few minutes, I told her to go ahead and finish the torture show.
I experienced the same awful pain and burning with the second eyebrow. I wanted to pay her and leave ASAP and that’s just what I did but not before saying I don’t know why people do this to themselves willingly.
It was terrible and something that I will never do again in my life. I’ll keep my tweezers, thank you!
Have you ever noticed that the IRS is so important that when you need to mail them something, their mailing address is just their name and the city, state and zip code? That’s scary!
